Clinical Counseling Intern

Counseling Style

Brooke is a Counseling Intern and Graduate Counseling Student at Prescott College. Her background in creative arts, environmental studies, and cultural studies informs her relational approach, which is rooted in attunement, connection, and insight and considers the cultural and social realities that shape our experience.

Brooke believes psychotherapy is an opportunity to practice meaningful connection and make sense of a complex world within a safe and supportive space. By exploring new ways of relating and finding language for our experience, we gain insight into our patterns and discover new possibilities for change. Our capacity for change continues across the lifespan, and new relational experiences can help us integrate our past and present, connect our inner and outer worlds, and move forward with greater flexibility and agency.

Brooke works with teens, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, addiction, and life transitions. She has a special interest in the mental health benefits of nature and active hope in the face of overwhelming current events such as climate change.
